“Punya Kala” for different cities in Australia is as follows.

Adelaide and Darwin: From 4:56PM Friday 13th April to 5:44AM Saturday 14th April .
Perth: From 3:26PM Friday 13th April to 4:14AM Saturday 14th April .
According to the tradition, you must stop work and finish taking meals before the “Punya Kala” begins. First part of “Punya Kala” ( i.e. before the dawn of New Year ) is allocated for religious activities. Second part of the “Punya Kala” is allocated for the activities mentioned below such as preparing meals, transactions and taking meals.
PREPARING MEALS – “AHARA PISEEMA’
Friday13th April night /Saturday 14th April morning, wearing light blue and white mixed clothes and looking at South direction, light the fire and prepare a milk rice meal “Kiribath” mixed with ghee and jaggery and a sweet mixed with sesame at following times for respective cities:
APPLYING OIL – “HISA TEL GAAMA”
Sunday 15th April looking at South direction, wearing golden colour clothes, apply oil and “Imbul Path Yusha Mishra Nanu” while keeping “Imbul” Leaves on the head and “Nuga” leaves under the feet at following times for respective cities:
