More than 50 MPs visted former President Rajapksa at his Carlton House in Tangalle, today local media reported. It was reported that the politicians, inclusive of their representatives from all coalition parties of the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA), had planned the visit to extend their greetings to Rajapaksa in view of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
Former Ministers Bandula Gunawardena, Dullas Alahapperuma, Kumara Welgama, Dinesh Gunawardena, Wimal Weerawansa, TB Ekanayake, Prof GL Peiris, Salinda Dissanayake, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Gamini Lokuge and Johnston Fernando were reported to have been among the UPFA MPs who were present.
