Dr. Nirmal Ranjith Dewasiri has been attacked

Former President of the University Teachers Association Dr. Nirmal Ranjith Dewasiri has been attacked by a group near the Lalith Athulathmudali ground in Kirulapona where political parties supporting former President Mahinda Rajapaksa held a May Day rally.


Dr. Dewasiri has lodged a complaint with the Police over the attack.

He was later admitted to Colombo National Hospital for further treatment.
